Well, if they are "catching up", they are doing
so fast. JANET IP Service (JIPS) has been announced
for the academic community, and UKnet provides EUnet-UUNET
services in UK, and a new IP services company is rapidly a-forming.
JIPS runs over JANET's X.25 infrastructure (IP tunnels).
JANET is also moving towards OSI. So, it's more than Coloured
Book Service there. AND they have absolutely first class technical
peopleworking in all these areas.
Don't know where you are coming from, but please do not unfairly
malign our good colleagues in UK!
