TCP/IP as a protocol to interconnect corporate LANS having nothing to do
with the academic internet is pegged as a billion dollar plus industry
next year by several market research firms.
Supposing you are a corporate networking manager with such an interconnect
assignment with a company that saw itself as having no major immediate
need to talk to the academics of ths Internet - the internet which may
still also be remember as the net of the Morris worm. You might be very
attracted by the idea of connecting to an internet that was protected from
all those "hackers"???
