The following appears on page 38 of the October 21st issue of
Telecommunications Reports.
"Chantilly VA based Government System's Inc, a joint venture of MCI
Telecommunications Corp. and Infonet Services Corp., has completed the
transition of the Defense Data Network/Internet network Information Center
from SRI International's contract management to Government Systems
oversight. Awarded earlier this year, the 12 month, multimillion dollar
contract includes 4 one year renewal options. Under the contract
Government Systems provides installation and management services for the
Defense Data Network and Internet Network Information center. the new
help desk telephone number for DDN and Internet users is 703 802 4535."
Are they talking about the NIC for the Inter-agency Interim NREN here?? I
did not realize the award had been made?
