Could someone on this list please explain the state of the art regarding
sending Private information across the internet?
Specifically, If you are sending summarized medical information between
two companies each of which are authorized to see the information, but
which must remain confidential, so the general public can not see it,
what is the best/most effective way to do so?
Also, since some parts of the Internet are still part of the Arpanet,
is there any extra care necessary to make sure the routing doesn't get done
through non-commercial nodes?
We were considering sending info as e-mail, are other methods standardized
enough or stable enough?
