   That *is* the point.  I think we've found *both* technical problems in
this list in the same brief thread of messages.... the duplicates we all
saw were apparently due to someone who gates this list to a newsgroup and
was echoing back posts as if it were a moderated newsgroup.. Hitting the
listserve, there is no wonder that we've seen 20 and more copies of the
same posting.


  12 hours ago I posted that one-liner (quoted below)... in response to a
quote of full headers which someone noticed and quoted back to this list
perhaps twelve to twenty hours before that.  I received my copy back from
the list immediately following your response to it.  Your response quoted
below was posted minutes ago. (and so brief I hope you won't mind me
quoting it from private mail, back to the list). 

  The Looonnnnggggg delays in turn-around that tend to make threads
confusing here to read sequentially instead of threaded are obviously
happening right in PSI's mail queues, between receipt and passing out as
list messages.

  While this all may not have directly to do with "privitization" it
certainly has to do with the phenominal growth that is going on.
