There is one possibility:

COMSAT (Washington, DC) provides
wireless voice and data links via
INMARSAT.  Because INMARSAT was
created to serve maritime users, land
coverage is only partial.

I have used COMSAT (at their offices) to send e-mail over the Internet, which is routed via DASnet.
