I have a friend who is about to go into central Asia to do some
fieldwork. We were wondering how he would go about getting wireless
access to the Internet. Is there some combination of packet ham radio
or small satellite dish and modem he could use to maintain contact with
the net?
Obviously we're pretty raw beginners here, so any advice or help would
be appreciated.
