I've gotten responses from both Daniel Weitzner and Stanton McCandlish in
response to on my last two posts. Unless I am mistaken, Daniel did not
disavow his transfer of money to schools and libraries plan, but Stanton
seemed to. What gives? Why does EFF want to transfer money to schools and
libraries? What has that got to do with EFF's original principles. Maybe
I didn't understand, but I really did believe that EFF was founded to
promote privacy, the 1st amendment, etc. in cyberspace. I did not think
EFF was to be involved with the transfer of wealth.
BTW, I care about EFF's position because I am very concerned about Clipper,
etc. and I feel EFF is losing its focus on these issues. EFF shouldn't try
to take on too many issues or they won't deal with _any_ effectively.
