heavens no. I get flamed. Ever since the brouhaha over Canter & Siegel
the net has become increasingly hostile to ads, even if they're clearly
marked in the mail header, like mine was. But because email flames are
an "in your face" kind of thing, they can be upsetting. I've made
mistakes on the net. I still have reason to pause about advertising here.
But we're all in this together, learning and experimenting. I do find
it's a classic clash between the commercial and academic worlds. No
longer is the Internet the playpen of professors. CU at Internet World.
