Those following this thread may be interested to know that the Italian
police have been shutting down Fidonet sites all over Italy in an attempt
to stop software pirating -- dozens of BBSs have been shut down, their
equipment confiscated or sealed off indiscriminately. The operation is
known as "Hardware 1" and the theory is grab the magnetic media now and
sort it out later.
We haven't reached that state of affairs (yet).
