Marty,

"Rhetoric" -- that's the pot calling the kettle black! The Marty and
Ittai show is a bit tiresome (just as the Marty and Kent show was in
the early days of the list). And if you're going to dredge up things
like "I view ANS as a contractor in providing the NSFnet (how this
happened, who knows)," those of us who remember can cite the ignoble
origins of PSI. So, can we keep the flames for the bar, where we can
at least cool down with a beer, and off com-priv.

Look -- we have differing ideas. That's fine. That's what makes a
marketplace. Com-priv is supposed to be a place in which we can air
our ideas and concerns and get community feedback. That's why I
participate. [I really do have a real job, with very real
responsibilities, and com-priv takes up a lot of time -- especially
because I take the time to proofread my messages. :-) ]

Bill Schrader and Al Weis have spent a fair amount of time talking
about interconnecting ANS and the CIX. We are committed to making an
interconnect, but we have some real (to us, anyway) concerns which we
need answered. I posted the message because I wanted to air our
concerns to the people who are most concerned that we do interconnect.
Perhaps I was just wasting my time. I hope not.

-Ittai

PS: I was a Nysernet/PSI customer in my previous life.
