The problem with using phone numbers is that the phone number is owned
by the phone company, who uses them to maintain control of dialtone
access. So, now we have to buy dialtone to get an Internet Address.
Nonsense! When was the last time you saw whole communities change
their phone numbers at the arbitrarty decision of the phone company.
I know of one enterprise that decided to use phone numbers this way,
and then found a need to assign some numbers not issued by the phone
company, which they have done, and which in due course will produce
ambiguous assignments;-)...Chuckle, chuckle...
Have you ever noticed how everyone in the world hates the phone company?
Yeah! So lets rush out and use their numbers;-)...\Stef
