I hope the idea of using SS#'s as an ID is only a joke. I doubt
most people would be comfortable with their SS#'s flying around the net
so openly.
I know the post said it could be optional, but those naive enough to
allow their numbers be posted so freely could suffer some serious fraud
abuse. Want some ideas? Just ask. Otherwise, I think people can quickly
get the idea of what could happen once someone knows your SS# and has
the intent to abuse.
