My colleague I. Trotter Hardy at William and Mary is currently working on
a paper that attempts to develop a theory of cyberspace as a separate and
distinct jurisdiction. The paper is to appear in an upcoming symposium issue
of the University of Pittsburgh Law Review (I understand that the entire issue
will be devoted to the law of cyberspace). In the meantime, Trotter can be
