Thanks to all who replied; it turns out this is already being done,
and is actually not that uncommmon. Just thought I'd post for others
in the peanut (packet?) gallery who (like me) aren't actually in the
business and haven't heard about such things. (Reference: the
providers that were named to me that do this are Digex and MSEN.)
