Southwestern Bell is in the process of getting a new tariff approved for
their "digiline" service (ISDN). I have a copy of the proposed tariff
in front of me. While they are adding measured service, they will retain
the flat rate service as well. The flat rate service looks to be about
the same price as before ($46 for 2B+D), and there are three classes of
measured service. Voice and data calls will be charged the same under
the measured service.
On the other hand, SWBT charges quite a bit for installation. A 2B+D
line runs just over $430; somewhat less for additional lines on the
same work order.
