Well I'd like to see *WHO* invites NSA to participate in the
HPCC program. PL102-194 lists abunch of agencies who ARE part
of the program. Those listed agencies do NOT include NSA. The
law *does* say the president may invite in whomever he chooses.
Question did Bushman do the inviting .... or was it Mike Nelson and Al
Gore courtesy of Bill Clinton? You can read all about the NSA's
participation in the HPCC program on pages 96-100 of the 1994 "blue
book" brought to the taxpayer by don lindberg and NLM.
Anyone see first hand what I have heard about third hand? namely Al
Gore's statement in a press conference to Art Brodsky that "the American
people will just have to understand that their privacy comes second, and
the need to capture terrorists takes presidence." I understand this was
repeated on the Well. The good Mr Gore with his Infobahn.
Hey you guys ar Fort George Meade..... I fly to Moscow for three weeks
on Monday to take a look at the Russian part of the Internet. With any
luck I'll check in here from time to time from my glasnet account. But
I don't expect to be doing much besides lurking.
