Hi. I hope someone can point me in the direction and/or help me and answer
the following few questions on the commercialization of the Internet.
1. What is the legal status of using the Internet for commercial purposes?
2. In particular, is it possible to sell via internet?
3. Who are the leading companies and figures behind Internet management?
e.g is Microsoft or other large corporations working towards selling
their products/services via the Internet.
4. What involment do the following companies have in either the
commercialization and/or using the Internet to further commercial
interests?
General Atomics
Thinking Machines
(Where is Brewster Kahle who developed WAIS and wanted to
bring it into the commercial sector?)
Both of these were companies involved in various aspecs of opening
the Internet for commercial purposes.
5. Are you aware of any companies that are planning to offer information
services on Internet commercially?
I would greatly appreciate help on this subject.
