Look, you're missing a small point here: Ameritech has a Federally mandated
monopoly. Are they sleeping with other large monopolies (ANS, MCI, AT&T)?
Yes. Will they do their best to block small and medium Internet providers?
Yes. I hardly think a complaint to Ameritech will solve anything.
What can you do? Join the local Chamber of Commerce. File complaints against
your local monopolies. Write nasty letters to your local representative. Go
firebomb the local phone switch, for all I care. Then, in 5-10 years you
might actually see some improvement. Until then, stop whining about how
hard your life is.
