I will be cross posting this to the telecom group as well so the people
that have talked about "getting even" with the lawyer will maybe read
this and think twice.
It has been suggested that "netters" send page after page of blank fax
paper to Mr Green Cards machine. It has also been suggested that people
call him and give him hell over the phone. While there are ways around
everything, I would suggest anyone considering this think twice.
1: Mr Green Card is located in U.S. West territory.
2: U.S. West offers a service at NO CHARGE called Call Trace. You press
Star 57 on your phone after you hang up. The switch collects the data
from the last call and records it. If the call is life threatening the
police take action at once. If its anything less you get three tries and
then your out.
3: U.S. West Star 57 service only works in a limited exchange area. If
this fails their call center in Seattle Washington steps in an places
extra equipment on the line.
4: If the calls then show to be Out of Area , the proper Lond Distance
carrier is ID'd and a trace is placed again.
What I am saying is people who hassle this guy via phone just might go to
jail. Your chances are very good.
For what its worth...
