Indicting and condemning the entirety of the Internet's resources
based on email and BBs is a bit extreme. My kids and my wife 
enjoy trips to museums via Mosaic--no one swears, and we manage
to navigate through the nudity and profanity.

Like every other human endeavor, use of the Internet improves
as knowledge replaces ignorance.
