and that's not all...
What about hotels' and other meeting places' advertising the availability
of Internet connections (plus terminals) at their sites? Might that not
make them more competitive to attract meetings of communities who depend
on Internet connectivity? From time to time we get inquiries about how
to get connectivity for a 2-week conference at such-and-such a place,
not on the beaten path, but surely adccessible to telephone links.
Also, there is a hostel at one well-known European laboratory which
accepts reservations in Internet messages. Let's not get into details,
for fear of upsetting the management with publicity they do not want,
but I just wanted to let people know that the idea is quite practical.
