Subject: MCI & My comments
I stand behind what I said earlier. Chris, If I want to slam MCI < I
could just use their own screwups to do it. MCI has marketing people I
call "Turds". The don't take no for an answer and they continue on until
you hang up. I have 4 of the major carriers for reasons of backup. As far
as credit on a bill. Great! I am glad you got it. Policy is that an MCI
operator in the Nebrasks area (direct experience) CANNOT give you credit.
They must transfer you to another operator who can credit you and
re-place the call if you like. As far as AT&T they have their problems as
well. Why do they continue to lose market share ? Simple, there are alot
of LD companies out there and its bound to happen. But, don't wait around
for them to go under. Somehow I think they will make it just fine.
BTW , AT&T lost their network as few years back and looked really stupid.
Robert Allen CEO took full blame for the problem. Something Burt Roberts
at MCI has NEVER done! MCI continues to hang cables un-protected under
bridges, bury fiber in construction areas with out concrete protection.
And MCI has the worst record for fiber optic cable cuts of any IXC . It
does mean that you will not have a good and very positive experience with
them. I prefer to see a backup in place for my needs are critical. Even
if I lose my LEC cable I have two backups to that/ It just depends upon
your needs and ability to pay. I hope this expains to you where I was
going with the thread.... Down is Down and when any carrier has a screwup
its bound to be a good one.
Cheers,
Joseph Stroup
