Did someone ask what SOCKS was? It is a server process for your
firewall that gives indirect access to things like ftp and telnet to
closed off sites. There are also ping, finger, whois, mosaic, gopher
and irc clients.

See ftp.inoc.dl.nec.com:/pub/security for source code and more info.

To join the SOCKS mailing list, send email to

with
        subscribe socks your@email.address
in the body.

Have fun,
chip
