Re: proposed agenda topic #2:
2. The Post-NSFNET World
We would like to concentrate on the NAP architecture and related
conection issues, and are looking at getting the rumoured NAP providers
(Elise has indicated that she has been following the rumours closely!) and
MCI in to talk with the IEPG.
We have invited all of the NAP providers to attend and present their
NAP architecture and have also invited MCI to discuss plans for
the vBNS. We have heard from Sprint, Ameritech, PacBell and MCI.
MCI will be unable to share their plans with us due to the protest
that has been filed with NSF concerning the vBNS award. The
others are checking to see if they have a representative which
will be able to attend on Saturday. (Guess not everyone is planning
to work on Saturday ;-)
