New Issues (was: Flaming at Abernathy)

Jay politely 8-) asks us to remove the Abernathy flames to email, and I
intend to -- after pointing out that a fair amount of the flames are replies
to his postings...

Anyway, new issue:  As a interested person, knowledgeable about the
internet, how would you explain to a group of librarians or high school
educators or "civilians" what the Internet is & what it could mean to them?
{I get the opportunity this Fall, and I could use the help}.  What are the
'hot buttons' to small businesses (not net related)?

NREN and privatization are very much political issues.  If we can't explain
to others why they should be part of the constituency, we lose support.
