Just as a clarifiction incase people get confused. This is not an
issue with NIS but with the particular implemention used on Digital UNIX.

Under Solaris there is the option for a passwd.adjunct map which will
stop the display of encrypted passwords for users listed in the adjunct
map when doing a ypcat passwd.
