I'd like to take this opportunity to publicly thank Cisco for not
taking the usual vendor tack of playing ostrich until the problem has
been exploited widely enough to get customers up in arms, or at best
providing a stonewall "if we believe we have a problem we will announce
when we have a fix". The way Cisco is handling this is much more
civilized and the fact that it quite stands out by contrast is, to me,
a rather strong indictment of most vendors' actions.
