Do you have patch 1096 installed on the system you're able to exploit?
versions | grep 1096
According to ftp://sgigate.sgi.com/security/19960101-03-P patch 1096 fixes a
number of security vulnerabilities in the object server/cadmin subsystem.
I'm unable to reproduce this exploit with patch 1096 installed: even when I
mounted an NFS filesystem and put it in /etc/fstab the filesystem (mounted
as /mnt) didn't show up in the shared resources box.
