Howdy,
After a considerable hiatus, I'm pleased to announce the first public update
of CIS, a free vulnerability scanner, in over a year. CIS has undergone a
major rewrite and is now known as Typhon. (Typhon and Echidna were the
mythological "parents" of Cerberus.) New modules in Typhon include SNMP, r*
services, ICMP, TCP/UDP port scanning and more. Further to this, the old
modules, such as webscan, have been updated - webscan now boasts over 180
checks.
If you'd like a copy you can get it from http://www.nextgenss.com/
Cheers,
David Litchfield
