Hi,
It may be related to HFS+ but as far as I can say all HFS+ install won't
demonstrate such a problem. More than just a permission weirdness, the real
point is that file permission seems really inconsistent in MacOSX.
Several users already reported being unable to write in /Applications/ even
with admin account.
Sounds like pax installer used to design .pkg has something to do with this
behavior.
