Right.  I hate following up my own posts and stuff, but just to say Xnet's
(irc.xnet.org) services carry the following message on connect;

-Globaler(cservices@xnet.org)- Just to confirm there isnt a bug in mIRC
5.82 so please forget the bugtraq email

And the topic for #xnet;

 Topic (#xnet): if you're looking for information on the 'exploit' f\ck
          off, dont come in here go in #,2 instead

If there is a reproduceable problem I'm sure we'd all like to hear the
details.  Anybody wanting to debate anything niggly or a possible exploit
may like to head over to vuln-dev first.
