I forwarded to Grant the "problem" that some of us had noticed, i.e.,
that Advance was no longer accepting/recognizing phony barcode
numbers. He sent me a response, which I'm forwarding to the group.

Yes, indeed. After you sent the message about the problem with check-in I
deleted the 4 digit barcode capability since I believe that's what got us
into trouble in the first place. Monday morning I'll be calling Geac to
see if we can fix up the problem with the check-in function. After I've
done that and know more I could put the four digit codes back if it seems
safe and not lead to problems.
