Sarah, what do you think of this idea: can we have Miriam from Geac
come and give us (me, Stephen, whoever else is interested) a detailed
tutorial/explanation of the B.Index? I was sorry we didn't have time
to snag MR at the end of bog to grill him on it. I feel like it's
really important to understand it, and I sorta don't as it stands now.
One of my OPAC tasks is to get with Theresa Tobin and compare the Geac
indexing to the Marcive indexing. How am I going to begin to explain
the B.Index to her?????? I just really feel like I need a better
understanding of the whole thing.
If you think this is an appropriate way to make use of Miriam's
presence here in town (and it seems like it is, based on what MR said
at Bog), then I'll be happy to get right on the phone, call her, and
set up an hour or so this coming week for her to come over, sit down
with us, and explain it to us.
