Hi All,
Tentative Proposal:
How about eliminating SE= and SEW= from the first portion of the main
menu and adding <Series Searching> as a menu option. In this option,
the user would be prompted to type w= and include some series keywords
and a volume number (or possibly W= (keyword or words) and nw=(volume
number). SEW is not always inclusive enough. Staff can
always use the SE= and SEW= commands in an expert search even though
they don't appear on the screen.
How do people feel? The main menu is getting busy and we have
concerns about patrons being able to distinguish series. Can we
discuss this at a future meeting?
