From our conversation at yesterday's Ad-cat meeting, I'm going to
contact Michel Ridgeway and amend our specification for Cancel
transactions. My recommendation is that Geac skip CANCEL transaction
records in their load routines as we are asking them to do with
REPLACE command transactions. We will need to establish workflow
routines whereby the Advance record and item holdings are manually
deleted ideally before the OCLC CANCEL transaction takes place.
Any problems with this recommendation?
