Subject: Re: B.INDEX
Thanks for the note Sam. I belive there still a couple of loose ends
on B.INDEX which I want to insure are covered. These were B.INDEX
related problems that turned up in the Bug Reports that Grant has
prepared. Please review and confirm if you want changes (and what they
should be) or not.
1. Only first 020$a is indexing
******This problem is reported in Bugs 141 and 140, but I don't think
it's a B.Index problem. Is this related to Bug 2 on rebuilding the
ISNO index, and to Bug 97?
2. 246 not indexed [indicator changes may have fixed this]
******yes, they did. OK now.
3. TW search does not retrieve LOUVRE VIDEODISC but t= does [$h ?]
******actually, Bug 87 says "NW search doesn't.." Anyway, OK now.
(500 now indexed) It's not a $h problem.
4. 210 not indexed
*****ok as is. 210 in reported example was with indicator 1 = 0,
which shouldn't be indexed.
5. 700$4 is included [I fixed this by removing]
****Michel, do you mean you fixed this by removing $4 from the "valid" column
for 700? Ad-Cat, did we also say anything about this in our
loader/UBIX discussions? (The latest version I have of the B.Index
still has $4 in the "valid" column for 700; it's in the 710 and 711 as well.)
6. 650$w is included [ditto]
*****I see in the new B.Index where you added $w to "Pass" column for
650, so we're cool there.
