Subject: Re: B.INDEX
Sam, I believe that I have fixed the items in you e-mail.
I added second level 1 to A.FLAG field for 400, 410, 411. This now
create $t entries in t= index.
I fixed up 260, and all the 5xx fields. All subfields in those
specified 5xx tags will now be indexed.
Re: the 027, 088, 074 indexes. These are being indexed "as is". There
is no normalization, space removal, etc. I am not familar with the
content of those fields so I am uncertain as to whether this is ok
or a problem. Both DOC or MP will retireve. Since there are several
fields now being indexed, perhaps the menu/index display needs to be
generalized?
Please check again and let me know if everything is ok.

********Yes, everything works now, as far as I can tell. All of the
changes won't take for every field until after the 2nd GMA, I think,
but they do work. Of course we'll re-test after the 2nd GMA. I'll
update the B.Index thing on the Web, but people will just have to
understand that the newer fieelds won't be indexed until after the 2nd
GMA (that includes the series volume numbering--I know that's a drag
for training, but it'll have to do. I'll write a FAQ thing for it and
be clear that it won't take effect until we're up and running.)
Today at our meeting, we need to talk about how to include the 074,
088, 027 searches on search.
