I think that what Pat says is essentially correct. But there is a way
around this: you can use the "Review search" option and return to
previous title lists you've "collected."
Look at it this way: once you use "extend search" and select an item,
you can use "Review search" to see the things you've collected along
the way.
If you select "New search" your parameter changes stay with you, but
you lose all the items you "collected."
If you select "Reset" you lose your parameter changes *and* your
"collected" titles.
Does that make it better or worse?
