From looking back on the correspondence in the ad-lib discuss group about
the multi-volume hierarchies it seems that it's a GMA problem. Michel has
been fairly persistent with Dave Alexander on getting this cleaned up in
second migration. It was one of the first issues that was raised when we
started looking at data and there seems to have been quite a few aspects
discussed along the way. We've probably forgotten some parts of the
discussion.
It looks like your GMA spec takes the volume mapping that Advance needs
into account. (III.A.1. -- 966 $defghi to 852 $p with semi-colons
between.)
My reading of the problem is that the back transfer from Circ wiped out the
966 volume information and that this is a bug that needed to be fixed by
Geac on their own.
(Michel, correct me if I'm wrong.)
