FYI, I've added circ codes RES1 through RES5 to our parameters.
Later on, RESRV1 through RESRV5 will be deleted. RES is fewer
keystrokes than RESRV.
RES1 - RES5 are intended to correspond to the loan rules for the
material types RES1 - RES5 in GLIS. However, the tables we use to
define the Advance circ codes cannot accomodate complicated loan
policies. (For example, RES5 in GLIS assigns a different loan period
to an item depending on the day of the week the item is charged out.)
So, until future upgrades or some sort of special programming can
replicate all the existing loan periods so that they happen
automatically, there will be a loan period override option for all but
RES1. In other words, the system will give you an option: accept
the due date displayed or input an alternative due date. -AP
