I have a small suggestion to make concering follow up on our general
training sessions: I suggest that we encourage people to practice
their skills on Advance frequently. One way to encourage this for
those staff members who staff information or reference desks, to run
the searchies they currently do on CD Barton or GEAC on advance as
time allows during their desk hours or after. This would give them
some immediate feedback on the efficacy of the system--success would
reinforce confidence and failure would prompt questions on how to
extract specific records from our database.
What do you think?
