I've created a few training sheets to help us understand Geac Advance. They
cover navigating, searching, and editing on Advance. Not all the sheets are
quite complete yet (the searching one is particularly unfinished), but they
are still useful if you are banging around on the system.

You can print these sheets yourself from Athena or you can send me e-mail
requesting them. I'd recommend printing them yourself since it could take
me a few days to get a copy to you through the mail.

At the "athena%" prompt add my locker by typing "add efc". Then...

 For this topic: Type:

Navigating in Advance athena% lpr /mit/efc/advance/sheet/nav.ps
Searching in Advance athena% lpr /mit/efc/advance/sheet/search.ps
Editing on Advance athena% lpr /mit/efc/advance/sheet/editing.ps

Note that if you want to specify a particular Athena printer you can do
that with the "-P" switch. For example, to print the sheet "Editing on
Advance" to the printer in the basement of Hayden you would type...

       athena% lpr -Phayden /mit/efc/advance/sheet/editing.ps

Also note, the "Navigating in Advance" sheet takes a long time to print on
some printers, since it has a number of graphics on the page. All of the
sheets are just one page long.

Let me know if you need a hand!

...Eric
