Nina-
I never got a chance to compare the product with the RFP, but I do
have some suggestions for general improvements.
Include an option to "hide" all icons.
In the "heading Display", allow the arrow keys to move the cursor.
Allow everything to be done from the keyboard as well as the mouse.
If we have to have icons, label them as well.
Allow series searches with numbers.
Make it clear that the initial search options except for the first
one (any keyword?) are browse searches, or as Linda put it: the first
one is the Enter key and the next 3 are F5 searches.
Consider reducing the number of colors available.
Make highlighting in the lists a toggle.
Is session history a potential violation of privacy if the user
doesn't eliminate it at the end of the session? Should it time out
automatically?
It goes without saying that we have to be able to do "big" searches
without being kicked out of the system.
I won't be at work tomorrow (Thurs.) but will be in Fri. Will
probably check email tomorrow evening, so let me know if something
isn't clear.
