In preparation for the Visiting Committee I thought it might be nice to
link the records for some MIT publications to their online selves.
Stephanie Stavinsky has added 856 tags to the Advance versions of our
records for: The Tech, Tech Talk, Technique, Technology Review, and
Voodoo. If you find these records in GeoPac and click on the Link button
(found at the bottom of the full bib window), the web edition of these
publications will pop up!

Some caveats:

(1) To do this at all you need the current distribution of GeoPac with our
MIT configuration. If you have Hotwire on your system you can go to a DOS
prompt and type "hotwire bassas geopac" to get this distribution.

(2) You also need the libraries distribution of Netscape for this to work.

(3) Netscape has a problem that prevents its doing the right thing if it
is already started. In other words, for this to work, make sure you have
QUIT Netscape before you click on GeoPac's link button. Yes, this is very
goofy. This is a Netscape problem, not a GeoPac problem, I hope a future
version of Netscape fixes this, but who knows. If anyone finds a fix.
please let me know.

Have fun!
...Eric
