It has come to my attention that the LCCN in the 010 is translating
from the OCLC record in a way that one would input a $w (DLC) in
76X-78X fields (5 spaces to the left of the dash and 7 spaces to the
right (In OCLC the last blank does not matter; but it does in RLIN));
e.g.:
34-210 = BBB34000210B [B=blank]
sn89-3201 = snB89003201B
Is this standard in an 010 $a field? How will this affect searching?
(BTW, I did try all of these combinations with no success)
OCLC documentation mentions nothing about this but USMARC goes into
great detail.
