hi, Grant. I just wanted to ask a couple of questions and bring you up to
date on a few things:
1. RE: Your attendance at an ACQ2 meeting. After telling you to drop in
any Thursday from 3:30-5 in LCR, I need to qualify that slightly. Next
week, 3/16, we won't be meeting because of the conflict with the Library's
Communications Forum. JKL made it pretty clear he'd like to see lots of
Library folks there...
2. At yesteray's meeting we said a prayer of "thanks" that the re-loading
of the fund/budget stuff had happened. Donna is on her way to being able
now to verify the budget migration data, and soon we'll be able to play
with the "real" data.
3. Is there going to be a uniform TEST FORM? As we began discussing
functional testing, I said I would inquire whether or not we were going to
use a something similar to the one that was being developed for the Horizon
effort. Sorry if you said at BOG, but I may have missed it.
4. I know this next thing is on your list, but just wondered where. Do
you know when you are likely to be creating individual passwords for us?
April? We'd obviously want them before we begin functional testing, and
I've asked Charlene and Ellen to be getting together their lists of users
with some security levels as we anticipate them. So we hope to be ready
when you are...
5. And this is way down the list, but some day when the printer stuff is
all working, and we're closer to Live implementation, we wonder does Aida
automatically get a printer to replace the Geac one she uses for GLIS? Or
should we (SAS) go ahead an order one in the next few months? If we are to
order, I'd like some guidance on what kinds we're getting elsewhere in the
system, since we'd like to avoid another Epson LQ-570 fiasco.
Thanks, Grant, and we look forward to meeting with you soon. MGM
