Combat Information System Security Applications Symposium
The National Security Agency (NSA) will host the Combat
Information Systems Security Applications Symposium on 8-10 July
1997. The symposium will be held at the Kossiakoff Center at the
Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory, Laurel, MD.
Theme of the three-day gathering of Defense Department and
Service representatives is:
"Protecting Those Who Protect Others" and a forum for exchange of
ideas, information, development plans, new techniques and
technology, and user requirements relative to protection of
information necessary for success of the warfighter in battle.
Those associated with any information protection, or defensive
information operations development, or in the process of stating
an information protection requirement, should consider attending
the symposium to share needs, views, and special knowledge.
Attendance is being sought from all levels of the development
process.
DISA is participating and will sponsor presentations on GCCS and
DMS, as well as other current programs. Doctrine developers,
materiel developers and users of systems employing or
requiring information protection, should be able to gain new
insight into the world of Information Warfare-Defensive (IW-D).
DIRNSA 281333Z May 97 provides detailed symposium agenda and
registration information.
