Hi there,
I got your address from MIT's gopher. I'm not sure you're the right person to
ask, so if it's the case please redirect me to someone else. I heard
somewhere that the MIT will soon release a new protocol that will let
people log into university systems from their home with an X-Windows terminal.
This will be called LBX and some shareware copies will be available
on ftp sites throughout the internet. Is it possible to have more information
on this ?
In fact, what I'm looking for is a way to log on to our systems here from
my DOS or Windows environment and have an X-Windows terminal. The maximum
speed I'm at is 14,400 bps, using a modem. I know I can buy a version of
X-Remote from NCD, but I'm looking for a low cost software. Shrareware
would be just great, since I can try it out first and then see if it fits
my needs.
Thank's for your time.
