At the University of California, Davis, we have a volume license with
Symantec for Norton that's the recommended software. In addition we
negotiated a reasonable price from McAfee for those departments/people who
prefer that product. Our license also allows clients to use the software as
long as they are affiliated with the university, which includes over the
summer for enrolled students. The products are sold through the Bookstore
or via download-and-recharge; in addition we include Norton on our Bovine
Online (Internet Tools for UCD) product. -- PK
